In 1939, Edna Smith and Louise Harper, two domestic workers, created the Open Door Club in Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard, a welcoming haven for Black domestic workers to gather, cook, and rest on their days off.
Infused with the uplifting scent of lemon, comforting butter, and soothing lavender, the Open Door Club home fragrance embodies their spirit of friendship, hospitality, and inclusivity. Each spray carries echoes of laughter, shared meals, and the simple joys of togetherness.
